"I wish the show had given the monks more depth, and they develop their friendships more."
“The more I watch it, the more I realize how much I dislike Xiaolin Showdown. Most of the characters are likeable enough, but the show seems dumb to me, and I often find myself counting all of it’s errors. But I honestly feel really bad about how I feel about it.”
((You shouldn’t feel bad about not liking it. Everyone has their opinions, and I don’t think anyone should feel bad for that.))
"Handsome, smart, strong, and kind; Clay Bailey set the bar high and has ruined my standards for real men. I am ridiculously and hopelessly in love with that perfect, charming cowboy<3"
"As a kid, I always thought that good and evil were like oil and water, and could never be mixed. When I started watching XS, I realized that even though the series did show that, in the Xiaolin/Heylin conflict, I started to see that there’s good and bad in everyone (Raimundo, Omi, Jack, Chase, etc), regardless of their intentions. After watching the show again as an adult, I’m glad to see that hasn’t changed, and have no shame admitting how that has affected my view of the world ever since.”
((This is just beautiful.))
"When I was first introduced to Xiaolin Showdown, I think I fell in love with Clay at first sight."
"I wish there had been an episode where everyone was their opposite alignment, just to see all the monks ranting about world takeover and Jack, Wuya, and Chase having a goody two-shoes tea party."
(Admin: The good Jack pic at the bottom is completely coincidental)
“re-watching this series, I realize all of the times Clay call somebody a ‘yellow bellied snake’, or something of the like, he’s using old slurs that used to be used on Chinese immigrants in America. Every time I hear it now, I at Omi and wonder if Clay knows what he’s saying.”
“Everybody seems to have had a crush mainly on Jack/Chase/Raimundo, but I’ve always had a thing for Clay.”
